Based on a report by Miguel Arroyo published on the CriptoNoticias portal on May 6, 2026.
Four major names in finance and technology — Ondo Finance, Kinexys by J.P. Morgan, Mastercard and Ripple — completed a pilot transaction that connected the XRP Ledger to traditional interbank settlement rails. For the first time, according to the companies involved, a public blockchain and global banking infrastructure jointly settled a cross-border transaction with a tokenized fund in real time.
How the operation worked
The sequence, described by Ondo Finance, had three steps: Ondo processed the redemption of OUSG — its tokenized U.S. Treasury bond fund — directly on the public XRP chain; Mastercard's Multi-Token Network routed the instructions to Kinexys by J.P. Morgan; and J.P. Morgan delivered the dollars to Ripple's bank account in Singapore. All of this outside conventional banking hours.
Who is who in the transaction
Ondo Finance is a real-world asset (RWA) tokenization protocol that issues instruments such as OUSG, backed by U.S. Treasury bonds. Kinexys by J.P. Morgan (formerly Onyx) is the bank's blockchain payments platform. Mastercard contributed its Multi-Token Network, designed to route transactions between blockchains and traditional payment systems. And Ripple received the final settlement in its Singapore account.
According to Ondo Finance, tokenized assets are "no longer separated from the global financial system".
Why this matters for TGG Wallet
TGG Wallet did not take part in this operation — but the episode confirms something central to the project: the XRP Ledger, the same public network on which TGG tokenizes agro-industrial hemp, is already deemed trustworthy enough for institutions like J.P. Morgan and Mastercard to settle real assets on it. When the biggest names in finance validate the rail, the rail stops being a bet and becomes a standard. It is that very rail that gives technical solidity to the $TGG token ecosystem.
Real-world asset tokenization is no longer a promise but a practice among global giants — on the same XRP Ledger that TGG Wallet uses to connect hemp to the digital economy.
