When we decided to build TGG Wallet, the choice of blockchain infrastructure was not arbitrary. It resulted from rigorous technical analysis on which protocol could handle the volume, speed, and cost required by real financial operations.

The Problem with Alternatives

Before understanding why we chose XRPL, it is important to understand why the alternatives were ruled out. Bitcoin takes up to 60 minutes and charges $2–$20 per transaction. Ethereum can cost $50–$100 in gas fees. Traditional SWIFT takes 2–5 business days and charges 4–7%.

The problem with alternatives: Bitcoin and Ethereum suffer from high costs and latency. For every transaction that would cost $30 via SWIFT, XRPL charges less than $0.001.

Why XRPL Is Different

XRP Ledger uses the XRP Ledger Consensus Protocol (XRPLCP), which requires no mining and finalizes transactions in 3–5 seconds regardless of network volume. Over 300 financial institutions already use XRPL as their settlement infrastructure.

The Strategic Choice for the Hemp Sector

The B2B hemp sector has very specific requirements: high volume of small transactions, frequent cross-border operations, and the need for full traceability. XRPL delivers all of this natively.

By building on XRPL, TGG Wallet positions itself within the global financial system — not on its fringes.
